Does the developer let you have control over your website?
Some places will get you set up with a basic website for cheap, but then will charge an excessively high rate to make any changes. This controlling, monopolizing method prevents you from finding a cheaper developer, or from making any changes yourself. Make sure the developer gives you the passwords and logins so you can have access to your own website.
Is the website built with responsive/mobile-friendly design?
This is vitally important, and it’s a feature that should be offered by any developer – but check to make sure anyway!
