Right. Let's see. I give you scripture, I give the actual meanings of the words for the scriptures you misrepresent, and you respond with opinon. This is the point at which someone with authority is needed to step in and resolve the issue IMHO. It has been explored ad nauseum through a study of Scripture. Nothing has been agreed upon except to agree to disagree. I think they both genuinely believe their position to be "what Scripture says" on the topic. In apostolic times disagreements would have been resolved with a visit by an apostle or his representative or a letter addressing the specific situation. I don't think it was that different for the generations which followed shortly after the death of the last apostle - John. Why does it seem so much harder today? I've been thinking this for the past week, Philthy, but I didn't want to just close it down willy-nilly. However, I do believe this thread has reached the end of the road. Nothing has been resolved; nothing new has been added for awhile.
