Honestly I am just tired of being nailed just for being Christian, shoot even in my professional hunt here I fall short in one category or another.. time for it all to turn around maybe we should take another look at turning the other cheek..

BTW! I will stand up, but I will not act as a fool, and pick a fight with a violent people.

I think the viewpoint of 'Christians should not have been there' is cowardly. Read post#19. Why should we not attend these "festivities"? Tell you what, brother, if someone preaches a false gospel within my earshot, I speak up. I did it when I was in jail, and I do it now. Certainly, if such a rally was held in my town, I would be there. Perhaps the pig's head was a bit over the top; I don't care. There are times when you CAN'T win people over, because they are so caught up in their false beliefs that they will not hear. Our mission, in that case, is to preach the real gospel, to those who WILL hear. You think me a Coward? I cannot know where God called them to go, but I can tell their tactics were foolish. Clearly the pig head thing was designed to antagonize. This is NOT how you present the love of Christ. You do NOT do it by telling them their prophet is a thief and robber. At least not until you get to know them and share the gospel with them. This is NOT what we are told to do in Matthew 10:14 either, is it?
Well I don't think the viewpoint is cowardly, I think it is prudent , and the "christians" that showed up to anger, antagonize and aggravate muslims were fools. We are to preach the gospel whete God gives us opportunity. We are not called to go and pick fights with those who are heathens. We are called to show wisdom. A soft answer turns away wrath. These people were not interested in turning away wrath. I think they went there hoping this would happen to draw attention to themselves. Those who are genuinely interested in promoting the cause of Christ draw attention to Him, not themselves.
Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as serpents and as harmless as doves.

Ok, points taken. Titus, I apologize. Not having been there, I can't make a judgment as to motive. As I said, if such a rally were held in my town, I would attend.Originally Posted by Titus

Knowing the attitude of the city all they really had to do was show up, the Muslims pretty much own Dearborn they contribute massive amounts of money to the Red Wings so they can recruit teams. But up there especially while I was working there the Muslims would get special treatments during Ramadan (which was fine as long as I got mine at Christmas time) but I think that they where not allowed to use the portion of the area that was named for Free Speech that was a bit ludacris and may have prevented what had happened although I doubt it. Dearborn is the very wealthy Arab Muslim so it adds to the opera singer mentality they have..memememememe, but if we don't stand up now how long till the Freedom from Religion Foundation has us treated like that no matter where we are?

The first thing we need to do is pray. The battle belongs to the Lord. Every time we try to mobilize, wit organizations like Moral majority or tea party, "liberal christians" (I know;oxymoron) condemn us and ridicule us. Let's face it. Jesus told us the world would hate us because it hated Him. I get fed up with it too. I'm tired of being called intolerant for telling the truth while Christianity is shown less tolerance than any other group. I don' t have any answers other than prayer. Prayer for grace, wisdom, strength, and a thick skin. Jesus died for those who hated Him. Would we, could we do the same?
I have actually taken my fight with FFRF to the facts, they hate that most of all and research which I can compile rather fast (I guess being just out of school still in the groove) but I do love stirring their pot lol...
