Thumbs down Hasan - Ft. Hood Tragedy

As the facts unfold, I'm disappointed to hear of the 'red flags' that were missed in this story, and how the media played out this story before the facts came to light.

First terrorist attack on U.S. soil under the new administration.

http://abcnews.go.com/2020/ check out Hasan's story yourself.

This story doesn't seem to be getting the air-time it needs.
Where's the outcry?

I didn't see a lot of information about Hasan himself on that video. I saw he was profiled on Hardball Friday and they talked about his family, and I agree some of these seem actionable?

More on Hasan:
A recent classmate said Hasan once gave a jarring presentation to students in which he argued the war on terrorism was a war against Islam, and "made himself a lightning rod for things" when he felt his religious beliefs were challenged.

Apparently, they missed a lot. He had not only expressed a conflict between his beliefs and his duty, but he had been persecuted for his beliefs by his fellow soldiers; one has been arrested for vandalizing his car because he was a Muslim.

This guy was a bomb ready to go off. How could they not have known?

Terrorism? Probably not. A mentally unstable person snapped under pressure.

So a crazy person managed to spend years becoming a US army major and doctor. Just how clinically crazy is he? Sure, he snapped, but that could be said of a lot of suicide terrorists.

He was mentally stable enough to go through years of rigorous academic training.

The bottom line is that he, first went to the mosque to have a talk with allah, his evil god, then went to Ft. Hood where he burst into a room full of unarmed soldiers, guns blazing and screaming allah akkbar.

The liberal spin propagandists simply don't want to state the obvious because it would be the first serious terrorist attack on American soil since saint Obama took office and his response could make him look bad.

Worse yet the media is trying to find everyone else to blame expect the evil muslim who committed the heinous crimes. They are so scared of saying the truth that it was nothing more than muslim terrorism

I love the part where BO says folks should not jump to conclusions. This coming from someone that called the police officer and force stupid for arresting his black friend. BO is such a joke and so in line with Islam and out of step with America.

He just might have been crazy though. Regardless of the fact you'd have to be clinically insane to join the US Army, the leader of the mosque he attended said he thought Hasan was disturbing after two conversations this summer and rejected his request to become a lay leader. Its also been reported that he was a really bad psychiatrist. He received a 'poor' performance review when he was Walter Reed and that's why they transferred him to Ft. Hood. His family also said he had hired a lawyer to get a discharge, so there very well could have been enough going on for him to just snap.

Its not that I disagree about Hasan, but I don't see your point about "liberal spin propagandists." MSNBC, the furthest to the left of the cablers, called it terrorism Thursday. Of the shows I watched Friday I saw the 10 minute segment on Hardball that I posted here and a similar 10 minute segment on Maddow discussing precisely what his motivations were and whether it was his religion. Parts of the Matthews interview was shown on the Ed Show so counting the repeats they spent nearly 3 of their 24 hours talking about this guy and his faith. I'd really be interested to hear what the conservatives like Scarborough and Dylan Ratigan said on their shows, but I can't watch daytime TV at work.

Or perhaps you could love your country enough to want to serve it.

My son is far from being clinically insane and I truly take offense to such a comment directed at so many brave men and women that protect your right to be gay and turn our country into another Russia, BB. Comments like that are why you and your remarks are worthless and I wish you'd just return to whatever rock you climbed out from under to attack all the good people of this world and spread your filth.

HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE BACKBONE OF OUR COUNTRY AS YOU ENJOY THE SPOILS OF THEIR SACRIFICES.
