That’s not to say that the others aren’t good, they just don’t stand out enough to make me want to return on a regular basis. Here’s five Christian sites that did stand out enough to add to my bookmarks.

BibleStudyTools.com – CrossWalk recently completed a major overhaul of their Bible study tools and it’s quite impressive. This free online Bible includes most of the features you would find in an expensive Bible software package. You can search and read various translations of the Bible, including the King James, New King James, New American Standard Version, New Living Translation and many more. A daily Bible reading plan can be customized to your liking using any of the available translations. When you need to dig deeper and do a little research you can take advantage of multiple concordances, lexicons, dictionaries, encyclopedias and commentaries.

Tangle.com – Formerly GodTube.com, Tangle is the Christian alternative to YouTube.com… and much more. Tangle is a fast growing Christian community with user created groups, photo albums, prayer boards and Bible study tools. Tangle is an excellent way to share your videos and pictures with friends, family or church members without having to worry about the offensive content on YouTube.

ChristianTuner.com – This is a directory containing hundreds of Christian radio stations and internet broadcasts arranged by category. Choose from praise and worship, kids music, contemporary Christian, gospel or even talk shows. To listen just click the play button in front of each station listing.

ChristianBook.com – This is the only retail site on this list but I had to mention it. Christian Book is an online Christian super store. They carry Christian books (obviously), Christian DVD’s, Christian music and a huge collection of homeschool material. Their prices are so low I often wonder how they’re making a profit. Be sure to take a look at their Bargain section for some really great deals.

Praize.com – A popular Christian community which offers a customizable Christian portable, web based Christian email, Christian chat and a Christian instant messenger.

In the early days of CWS, when it was called Best of the Christian Web, the sole purpose of the site was to list the best Christian websites on the Internet. Over the years the site has changed many times. In an effort to return part of the site to it?s original roots, I’ve put together a list of the top 10 Christian Websites. This list is 100% accurate, indisputable and backed entirely by scripture!! Actually, it’s just my opinion and nothing more. But, since I’ve been involved in the Christian Internet world since 1995 I figure my opinion has to count for a little something. Right? RIGHT?!?

10. Christian Classics Ethereal Library – An online library containing hundreds of classic Christian books, Bible outlines and commentaries. The site is simple, easy to navigate and provides the books in several formats or you can view and search them online.

1. and the #1 site is…. CrossWalk.com – CrossWalk has been at or near the top for nearly 10 years now. They went through a rough transition a few years ago before being acquired by Salem Web Network, but now they are better than ever. CrossWalk takes advantage of the latest web technologies to create an attractive, easy to navigate website. You can listen to one of their ten CrossWalk radio stations or browse one of their channels ranging in topic from homeschooling to movies. Be sure to check out their newly released Bible Study tools. This is the sleakest, most advanced online Bible study tools I’ve seen to date.
